Cara Kerja Mesin Hemodialisa

Pada saat proses HD, darah akan dialirkan melalui saringan khusus (Dialiser) yang berfungsi menyaring sampah metabolisme dan air yang berlebih. Kemudian darah yang bersih akan dikembalikan ke dalam tubuh. Pengeluaran sampah dan air serta garam berlebih akan membantu tubuh mengontrol tekanan darah dan kandungan kimia tubuh jadi lebih seimbang. Setiap pasien HD diharuskan mematuhi jadwal cuci darahnya. Dalam seminggu biasanya pasien menjalani 2 kali cuci darah, masing-masing sekitar 4 jam. Namun adalakanya untuk kondisi tertentu, menjadi lebih dari 2 kali seminggu.
